www.JOSEAYERVE.com - The Official Site of José Igancio Ayerve

who is josé ayerve?

José Ayerve is first and foremost the front man for the northeast-based indie rock group Spouse. As a singer and songwriter, he performs independently and with a variety of musicians. His principal side project is The Nuclear Waste Management Club. He has released a number of singles and albums on vinyl and CD; some with Spouse, some solo, and some with other bands as well. (See discography)

Secondly, José Ayerve is a recording engineer and producer. In addition to recording his own projects, he has worked on recordings for Winterpills, Pernice Brothers, Dennis Crommett, New Radiant Storm King, Michael Merenda, and others.

José spends a lot of time traveling and performing. He can often be seen performing solo or with one of his bands. One of his goals is to continue touring even more frequently and more extensively. While touring in 2004 José crocheted scarves to help fray the cost of touring. He's also prepared some very limited edition CDs to help with other costs. You can explore the store section of this site to see what else he has for $ale.

José is not the easiest guy to get in touch with, but fortunately, his assistant, Sigrid, can help you get in touch with him, or you can try to email him directly. (See contact) You can also sign up for the mailing list (managed by pigeonrecords.com) to get information about upcoming shows and new releases. Sigrid also helps José with the collective label, Pigeon Records (initiated by Spouse member Dan Pollard).

If you're curious to hear what José Ayerve sounds like, visit the sounds section of the site to hear some clips. Likewise, if you'd like to see what he looks like, visit the images section. And if you're interested in reading about his current and past adventures, check out the blog . Also, if you're interested in knowing about what José is interested in, there is a links page on this site.

Lastly, José Ayerve's keen interest in global, cultural, and social politics and current events sometimes inspires him to participate in theatrical or community-based activities. The other projects section of this site is reserved to offer information about his extracurricular undertakings.

Cheers, and thank you for visiting the site.
